Director Timothy Chaucer
Tim Chaucer is a Connecticut state certified professional educator with over 40 years experience at the high school and college level. He has been camp director/instructor of the Milford Marine Institute, Inc.for 35 years. Tim has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Boston University. He has also earned natural science credits from the University of Maine in Orono and Southern Connecticut State University, where he studied with prominent marine biologist Dr. Peter Pellegrino. He has also worked with many of the state’s most important archaeologists.
Mr. Chaucer has been deeply involved with land use issues in Milford, Connecticut, having served as chairman of the Milford Conservation Commission. He was a several times elected member of the Milford Planning and Zoning Board and is currently a member of the Historic District Commission. He is on the board of the Milford Land Trust and the Milford Preservation Trust and is a former officer of the Milford Historical Society and was the Society’s program chairman for more than ten years.
